Meeting called to order by Chair at 6:07 p.m.
Roll Call
Approval of Previous minutes on a motion by Jeff, second by Lyndsay.
Suki observed that wetland boundaries are unclear. She will check with a former NCRS person for more information. She also asked if there were guidelines for the actual placement of wind or solar installations. She asked if it was possible to get a consultant and put "eyes on the ground" to see best positioning. Now that Jolyon has re-calculated the goals for wind and solar, is his work reflected in these new maps?
Committee continued to work through the remaining sections. Thinking of merging lakes section with town narrative.
Lyndsay found Andrew's calculations of how much acreage of forests and water resources are actually in Leicester.
Diane wants to check to see if 3,000 acres of wetlands is an accurate figure?
Lyndsay forwarded several messages for our review: maps of conserved acreage, links to play with layers of maps, Leicester: Past, Present and Future.
Thank you, Lyndsay.
Diane sent Hannah, the ACRPC map-maker, an inquiry about a map that could show what land remains in town after all constraints, conservation, floodplain, etc are accounted for. It is believed there is little land that is not under some form of constraint.
Discussion of Implementation Plans: How much to say when amending the zoning regs to reflect the latest legislation? (Housing, energy)
Katie of ACRPC is working on the FLU's and plans to have a working draft to members by Tuesday, Nov 25.
Decision to conduct next meeting on Tuesday, Dec 2, at 6:00 p.m.
Committee will review and discuss FLU's at that time.
Respectfully submitted,
Diane Benware
