Minutes of the Leicester Planning Commission meeting of May 5, 2026
Present: S. Fredericks, J. Michael, J. McDonough, D. Swinington, J. Delphia, D. Benware
Absent: L. D'Avignon
Meeting called to order by Chair Swinington at 6:05 p.m., after Julie ascertained that copies needed to be printed of the most recent version of both plans.
Roll call.
Minutes of the previous meeting were approved on a motion by Jeff, second by Diane, passed unanimously.
Regarding Town Plan:
1. discussed proposed changes to maps
2. one correction made under Population and Housing
3. discussed wording for the intro/welcome by the Planning Commission
Regarding Energy Plan: Julie gave the background about the changes she made to the plan submitted to us by Jolyon. Julie encouraged those who have not yet reviewed it to do so before the next meeting.
When we get maps from Hannah of ACRPC, we need to focus on areas we feel should be prime solar and wind installation sites. Julie took suggestions from the group to pass on to Hannah.
Maps are due from Hannah by the end of this week. Julie will forward to members as soon as possible for review.
Reviewed the proposed timeline for hearings and potential adoption of plans.
Next meeting is Tuesday, May 19, 2026.
