Selectboard Meeting Minutes
Monday, January 6, 2020

Members Present: Diane Benware, John Rouse, Brad Lawes, Tom Barker, Ron Fiske
 
Others Present:  Julie Delphia, Arlan Pidgeon, Sandra Trombley, Secretary
 
Call to Order:  Meeting called to order at 6:30 p.m. by Chair.

Review of Agenda:  
 
NEW BUSINESS:  
 
Approval of December 16, 2019 minutes:
 
Motion by Tom, second by Brad, to approve minutes of December 16, 2019 as written.  All in favor.  So, approved.
 
Review/Authorization to Pay Bills:
 
Motion by Tom, second by John, authorizing Julie to pay the bills.  All in favor.  So, approved.
 
Motion by Brad, second by John, approving 2020 payroll and equipment rental rates and authorizing Julie to pay all State and Federal Tax Fees, as required.  All in favor.  So, approved. 
 
Reports from Town Officials, Committees:
 
Road Foreman:
 
The loader is the only thing Arlan had which is on the agenda.
 
Town Clerk/Treasurer:
 
Julie reported she has been busy with budget and town report things.

CORRESPONDENCE:
 
Diane provided a packet of upcoming Safety and Mobility Webinars available.

Loader Purchase:
 
Julie reported that last week Pudvar sent her paperwork to get signed up for municipal pricing and then he will send an invoice with net 30 day terms when Board decides on the sale.
 
Arlan, Scott, Brad, and Tom met with Pudvar at Nortraks to discuss terms of a potential sale.
 
Motion by Tom and second by Brad to authorize Julie to sign paperwork and purchase the 524K John Deere Loader, on behalf of the Selectboard, for a sum not to exceed $127,000, to be paid from funds out of the equipment fund.  All in favor.  So, approved.
 
2020 Budget Review:
 
Julie provided a revised budget for review which is very close; unless something major comes in to be paid.  Julie reviewed the changes made in the spreadsheets with the Board.  
 
If the Board is feeling good with the budget tonight, Julie would like to get the budget and the warning approved at the next meeting on January 20th.  Board was feeling good with the budget.
 
BUILDING NEEDS:
 
Senior Center Needs:
 
Tom reported that Tom Brunet is coming to the next meeting to explain a payment agreement for doing the work on the windows of the senior center.  
 
HIGHWAY CONCERNS/NEEDS:
