Special Selectboard Meeting with
Other municipal representatives

With Brandon Fire Dept representatives (Tom Whittaker, Gene Pagano, Bob
Kilpeck, Wayne Platt)

Ceil, Bob  O. and Diane met with the above-mentioned to discuss the
possible development of an inter-municipal agreement for fire coverage in
the town of Leicester.  A written 3 to 5 year plan was agreed to be
beneficial to both parties involved.  A print-out of the fires for the
last year was provided, as a basis for discussion.

Options to be explored include:
? a % of their budget, based on our population
? a % of their budget, using our Grand List, similar to Vergennes and
Panton's practice
? a % of their budget based on the # of calls previous year
? a flat rate per call per hour


Next Steps:  Fire Dep't to do cost analysis of the options, with possible
decision by Oct. 1
Town to investigate "caps" or limits on fire insurance coverage
Town to investigate trying to collect from homeowners when the BFP has
been called. 
Inviting Leicester residents to see the fire station and equipment.

Also discussed our concerns with 2 individuals who have been involved in
illegal burning in town.
