Jan. 3, 2006 Minutes:  On page 3, Add Lougee to Adam's name, also page 3, add Brandon Fire Dep't Prudential Board.  Donna asked John if the auditors had contacted him to approve an updated road work form.  Carol Morrison had prepared one, which Arlan liked and which was used for the prior pay period.  John voiced his approval of the form.  Bob made the motion, Mark the second to approve minutes of Jan. 3, motion passed unanimously.

Jan. 5, 2006 Minutes:  Bob made the motion to approve, John made the second.  Motion to approve passed unanimously.

Jan. 9, 2006 Minutes:  Ceil made the motion to approve, second by Mark, motion to approve passed unanimously.

Jan. 14, 2006 Minutes:  Correction, that the band mentioned by Mrs. Oliver is from Waterbury, not Rochester, and that the Leicester Community Connection had not confirmed the dollar amount of support they would provide.  Motion to approve with above correction, made by Bob, second by John, motion to approve passed unanimously.

Chair relayed her conversation with Tom Whittaker of the Brandon Fire Dep't Prudential Board.  He indicated that the problem with the town of Leicester making an annual payment pays nothing towards replacement of equipment.  He added that we could perhaps try for a 3 year agreement, with a review after 2 years.  He suggested 5:00 or 5:30 p.m. any day but Wednesdays, in the next few weeks.  John to contact Mike Wilbur of Whiting first to see what they might be able to do for us, then we'll contact BFD.

Vt. Sun issue:  Lt. Noble was uncomfortable with the fact that Mary Hughes had made copies of Jim's letter, given that the letter stated privileged lawyer/client communication.  Mark checked to see if we felt we had violated the lawyer/client privilege.  We felt that we did not, as portions of it were read aloud, as Jim had indicated that we could do so.
Jim told Diane that there was nothing contained therein that was confidential or not able to be shared in public.

The remainder of the meeting was spent reviewing the highway portion of the budget, with a quick review of updated figures for the general budget.  Diane to include an announcement in Town News that the Selectboard is looking for a person with their own vacuum and cleaning tools to clean the Town Office and Meeting House, on an as-needed basis.

Motion to adjourn meeting, made by Bob, at 10:52 p.m.
Next meeting, Monday, Jan. 23, at 7:00 p.m., after the BCA meeting.  This
is the final budget meeting, to approve the Warning and related articles.
