Selectboard Meeting Minutes
Monday, September 18, 2023

Members Present: Diane Benware, Brad Lawes, Tom Barker, John Rouse
 
Members Absent:  Diane Randall
 
Others Present: Julie Delphia, Robbie Devoid, Sandra Trombley
 
Call to Order:  Meeting called to order at 6:30 p.m. by Chair.
 
Pledge of Allegiance:
 
Review of Agenda 
 
Approval of September 11, 2023, Minutes:
 
Motion by Brad and second by Tom to approve minutes of September 11, 2023, as written.  All in favor.  So, approved.
 
Review/Authorization to Pay Bills:
 
Motion by John and second by Tom authorizing Julie to pay the bills.  All in favor.  So, approved.
 
Reports from Town Officials, Committees:
 
Diane asked who was responsible for painting the pavement crossing markings.  Tom and Brad thought the railroad was responsible.  Julie will contact the railroad to confirm.
 
Town Clerk/Treasurer:
 
Julie read a letter requesting the bus turn around at the Fern Lake Access due to problems turning around at Fernville.  
 
Julie will continue to investigate whether this is a long term or temporary situation.           .
 
David Crane looked at the heat pumps and stated that they do need cleaning.  He will come back in two or three weeks to clean them.
 
John will get a couple quotes on generators.
 
Diane talked with Josh Pockette, and he is going to meet her next Tuesday at the White Building and make recommendations and give a quote for pest control.
 
 
OLD BUSINESS:
 
Fire Department Discussion:
 
John still hasn’t heard back from Salisbury.  He will report back about his inquiry with Salisbury Fire Department at the October 2nd meeting.
 
John reported he is charging the battery for the speed limit sign.  That’s why it is not on the pole.
 
Weight Permit:  None

Diane reviewed the correspondence file.

Executive Session:
 
Motion by Tom and second by Diane to go into Executive Session at 6:55 p.m. for possible legal matter.
 
Motion by Tom and second by Diane to come out of Executive Session at 7:10 with no action taken. 
 
Motion by Tom to adjourn at 7:10 p.m.
