Town of Leicester Planning Commission Meeting Tuesday, August 27, 2013*Unapproved* ** See subsequent minutes for any changes Members Present: Donna Swinington, Peter Fjeld, Jeff McDonough, Bill Shouldice, Kate Briggs Absent: Sue Stroud-Speyers Others Present: Sandra Trombley, Secretary Meeting called to order at 7:30 p.m. with roll call. Kate explained that they were going to environmental court September 6th about the boat house case. Kate recommended very strongly that the Board adopt an interim zoning regulation of Section 620 for one year that says no more shoreline buildings. The Planning Commission has been discussing this topic at their working meetings on the revisions of zoning regulations. The Planning Commission took the following under consideration: No new construction of any accessory structure of any kind is permitted on the shoreline in Lake I that does not meet setback requirement of 75 feet from the shoreline. Any existing structures may be replaced or repaired providing required state and town permits have been obtained. Motion by Jeff and second by Peter to adopt interim zoning regulation. All in favor. So approved. Kate explained that the Selectboard will notice an emergency meeting and adopt exact wording in 15 days. It will be warned in the newspaper.
