Town of LeicesterSelectboard Meeting MinutesMonday, June 24, 2014*Unapproved*** See subsequent minutes for any changes Members Present: Diane Benware, Ron Fiske, Tom Barker, Ken Young, Brad Lawes Others Present: Bill Shouldice, Donna Swinington, Peter Fjeld, Jeff McDonough, Sandra Trombley, Secretary Call to Order: Meeting called to order at 6:15 p.m. by Chair. Review of Agenda: Filling Zoning Administrator’s Position: The Planning Commission did not have the resumes of the two applicants or enough information about them to make a decision. The Selectboard gave the Planning Commission some background about the two applicants. There was discussion about the needs of the position. Tom had concerns about enforcement of the zoning regulations. Beyond being educated and knowledgeable, they must be able to enforce the zoning regulations. The Planning Commission would like to review their resumes and meet and interview the two applicants. Diane called the applicants and confirmed interviews time slots for next Monday, June 30, 2014 beginning at 6:00 for Marianne and David at 6:15 p.m. Selectboard will meet at 6:30 to take the Planning Commission’s recommendation for the position. Zoning Regulation Update: Diane shared the most recent email from Kate. Kate informed the Boards that she will be unable to participate in any future planning zoning activities. Diane read the entire outline of the email to the Board. The Public Forum for July 8th has been warned and they will need to prepare for the Public Forum. The Planning Commission will meet after the interviews on June 30, 2014 to plan for the Public Forum. Public Opinion: None Motion by Tom to adjourn at 6:50 p.m. Respectfully submitted, Sandra L.
