Town of LeicesterSelectboard Meeting MinutesMonday, June 30, 2014*Unapproved*** See subsequent minutes for any changes Members Present: Diane Benware, Ron Fiske, Tom Barker Others Present: Bill Shouldice, Donna Swinington, Peter Fjeld, Jeff McDonough, Julie Delphia, Sandra Trombley, Secretary Call to Order: Meeting called to order at 6:39 p.m. by Chair. Review of Agenda: Filling Zoning Administrator’s Position: The Planning Commission made a recommendation of David Atherton for the Zoning Administrator position. Motion by Ron and second by Tom to appoint David Atherton for Zoning Administrator. All in favor. So approved. The Planning Commission did not discuss salary with David. Preparation of July 8 Public Forum: Julie needs the agenda by Thursday for the two public forums. Diane will prepare agenda. The first meeting will be at 5:30 p.m. for the purpose of reviewing proposed language changes to zoning bylaws. The second meeting will be at 7:00 p.m. with Susan Warren for the purpose of public information on the Shoreland Protection Act and its impact on the lake area. Diane will contact David and if he accepts,invite him to have office hours on Monday and invite him to the July 8th meeting. He needs to see Julie to complete an I-9. There was discussion about planning for the first meeting with photos, proposed commercial definitions, sign in sheet, welcome, handouts, poster size photos and Land Use Maps. Diane and Donna will meet on July 7, 2014 to work on presentation. Old Business: Julie asked what she should tell the people with concerns about the speeding vehicles going from Rt.53 to Fern Lake Road. Board recommended trying to get the license plate number and call the State Police. Public Opinion: None Motion by Tom to adjourn at 7:50 p.m. Respectfully submitted, Sandra L.
