Approval of Minutes of May 27, 2014:

Motion by Jeff and second by Peter to approve minutes of May 27, 2014 as written. All in favor. So approved.

Working Session on Zoning Regulation Revisions:

Kate talked about and shared the plan for the public forum. The date for the forum was changed to July 8, 2014.

Kate contacted Lee Kahrs at the Reporter and the Lake Dunmore Association for publicity. She is hopeful they will have some public attend the forum. There will be light snacks.

Kate will give an introduction and have three stages. One stage will be photos and how you categorize them, the second stage will be participants matching photos and uses with our zoning districts, and the third will be role playing for a conditional use review of mock commercial applications.

Kate states that it’s not a problem of definition; it’s a problem of enforcement.

The goal is to meet the grant criteria, educate the public and feedback about the balance of commercial use and other use.

There was discussion about whether this meeting has to have a special warning. Kate will review her materials and get back to Sandy.

Kate shared that Julie offered to help with their graphics.

Kate shared that Sue and Ron will help her take the photos of various commercial uses outside of Leicester. No one thought it was a good idea to take photos in Leicester.

Everyone should read Section 350 of the zoning regulations prior to the July 8th meeting.
