Zoning Board of Adjustment Minutes

Members Present:  Donna Swinington and Tim Johnson

Members Absent:  Gerry Flint, Pete Fjeld, Jeff McDonough

Others Present:   Sandra Trombley, Secretary

Call to Order/Roll Call:  Meeting called to order at 6:00 p.m. by Donna and roll call. 

Review Agenda:   

Reviewed agenda.

 Could not approve August 25, 2009 minutes because there was not a quorum. 

Kate Briggs was not available  with draft of instructions and procedures and paper flow. 

Add to next month’s agenda.

Old Business:

Discussion about who was responsible for posting to the web-site.  Donna had a discussion with Kate and Kate was told that Deb Miner was in charge of the web-site and  to go to Deb Miner for getting applications and forms and procedures on-line.  Sandy was asked by Donna Pidgeon to send minutes to her because Deb Miner did not have the time to do it.  If Donna is responsible for everything, Sandy does not know.  Sandy will let Julie know that she was asked to send things to Donna. 

New Business:

Reviewed the ZBA expenses that Julie had provided Sandy.  Donna stated that this is not going to reflect an average year.  2008 and 2009 has had such a turn down in any kind of building.  Income is dramatically down due to the housing down turn.

Donna said its good information to have, but because there is not a quorum, they will look at it next month.  The fee schedule needs to be looked at.  Tim got a fee sheet from Brandon and from Rutland so they could compare with what other town’s are charging for their permits.   Donna stated that the permit fees are not going to cover all of the ZBA expenses.

Tim will try to get fee schedules from Salisbury and some other adjoining towns.

Motion by Tim to adjourn at 6:25 p.m.  Second by Donna.  So approved.
