Zoning Board of Adjustment Minutes
May 22, 2007
Leicester, Vermont

Call to Order:  6:05 PM
Roll Call:  Ron F., Andrew V., Michele P.C.
Applications:  This was for Arlan Pidgeon for  Setback Waiver on US Route7,  existing structure.  Arlan already has a variance that is permanent, variances run with deeds.  The old permit lapsed so he was issued a new permit.  The fee of $100.00 will be refunded.

NO public comment.

It has come to the ZBA’s attention that there are some issues with the Sweeney property’s building.  This will be looked into.  Also the surrounding land owners of the Dunmore acres have filed an Appeal with the  Environmental Court with the State of Vermont.  The current owners, the Mackey’s are gathering information about the possibility of the land becoming condominium units.  Further information will be needed.

New Business:  Elect Vice- Chair Elected Andrew Van Benthuysen.

Jeff Owen from Regional Planning presented.   This has to do with the Leicester/Salisbury Lake Study Grant. Katie Raycroff-Meyer will do a study for the town.   She is with the Architectural firm in Bristol Vermont Reproof & Meyer
The discussion consisted of , should this be guidelines or something regulation the lakes and their surroundings.  How about multiple lot use??  Should the district impose standards?  These are some of the many questions being looked at, at this time.
